Sample CNC Cut
The work that the router performed to make the bowl shown on the previous page took several hours. While I recorded several phases with a video camera, the movies are not shown here.
Instead, a short clip of machining the top piece of a new candle holder can be viewed here. I compressed the time line by a factor of four such that the actual run time of about five minutes is shortened to a little more than a minute.
You will see how the center for the candle insert is milled by spiraling down. The four raw sides of the hexagonal shape are the cut by lowering the bit in steps.
